INTEGRITY GROUP DEMANDS PROBE INTO ALLEGED CORRUPTION IN NNPCL, CALLS FOR KYARI'S REMOVAL

A Lagos-based Integrity Group has urged President Bola Tinubu to investigate alleged corruption in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) under its current Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari.  The group, led by Comrade Korede Adigun, demanded a probe similar to the one conducted by Jim Obazee in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Adigun lamented the persistent fuel scarcity and soaring prices, accusing the NNPCL of mismanagement and corruption.  He claimed that queues disappeared under the previous leadership of Maikanti Baru but resurfaced under Kyari. The group questioned why President Tinubu had not ordered a probe into the NNPCL despite public outcry and alleged that some board members close to the president were protecting Kyari. Adigun called for Kyari's removal, citing the failure of leadership in the NNPCL, and urged the president to address the situation to prevent another nationwide protest. ABIB OLAMITOYE FOUNDATION HONOURS FIRST NIGERIAN FEMALE PROFESSOR OF PSYCHIATRY

In a grand celebration, Professor Olayinka Omigbodun, the first Nigerian female professor of psychiatry and first female Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (CoMUI), was honored for her remarkable achievements.
