JUSTICE MARY ODILI APPOINTED MEMBER, NATIONAL JUDICAL COUNCIL

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has appointed Justice Mary Peter Odili, JSC (rtd), member of National Judicial Council (NJC). BODY OF BENCHERS SET UP COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS DWINDLING CONFIDENCE IN THE JUDICIARY

A retired Justice of the Supreme Court, and chairman of the Body of Benchers, Justice Mary Peter - Odili, has described the current period as bad for the judiciary. Justice Odili, noted that the confidence in the judiciary was dwindling as a result of the spate of conflicting judgments and indiscipline among lawyers.
