  The National Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress has released names of the Screening, Screening Appeal, Primary Election And Appeal Committees For February 3rd National Assembly  Bye-Elections. Some of the party members appointed into the various committees include, former speaker, Lagos state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Minister for Police Affairs, Hon. Jelili Adesiyan, Dapo Lam-Adesina, a former House of Representative member who represented Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East among others. See list Below:

The Senate committee on Judicary and Human Right has commenced screening of the 11 nominees to the vacant Supreme court bench. The names of the nominees were sent to the Senate today by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for screening and approval by the Senate. Confirming commencement of the screening exercise, senator representing Oyo South senatorial district, who is also a member of the Senate committee on Judicary and Human Rights, Sen. (Barr.) Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli said the exercise has commenced in earnest, "They're being screened now by the Committee on Judiciary and Human Right of which I am a member", he said.
