Just as Nigerian's were settling down to watch the finals of the African Cup of Nations played between Nigeria and Ivory coast, pictures and videos of Nigerians who were in hand to have a first hand feel of the AFCON finals were all over the internet. One of such pictures is that of Oyo state Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde with his political ally Alh. Bisi Olopoeyan. A legal Practitioner, Bayo Akinlade Esq., has challenged the  composition of the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission seeking nullification of same. In an Originating Summons Application filed By Messrs Kunle Edun Esq at the Federal High Court, Abuja on Friday 8th December 2023, Oyo State Judicial Service Commission has been challenged for having 4 instead of 2 lawyers as members of it's Judicial Service Commission. Bayo Akinlade Esq who is the convener of Fight Against Corruption in the Judiciary states in his affidavit amongst other things that the present composition of members of the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission violates the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mr. Akinlade argued that all recommendations and appointments made by the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission are null and void. See the attached processes:
