Osun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has denied the claim by Dr. Olatunde Oginni that he was installed as the Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa by the state government on January 20, 2012. In a letter dated April 18, 2024 and addressed to First Bethel Solicitors, the ministry clarified that the assertion by Dr. Oginni is far from the truth and that there is no title in existence bearing Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa in their records. The ministry further stated that they have a letter dated January 18, 2012, from His Royal Majesty, the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesa Land, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, dissociating the entire Ijesaland from the strange traditional title claimed by Dr. Oginni.
