ONDO 2024: WALE OHU LED OBSERVER COMMITTEE APPROVES LIST OF RETURNING OFFICERS FOR GUBER PRIMARY ELECTION

Chairman, National Observers committee of the Ondo state primary election taking place across the 18 local government areas of the state, Chief Wale Ohu has stated restated the determination of the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at providing a level playing ground for all aspirants vying for the ticket of the party to emerge as gubernatorial candidate of the party in ondo state. Chief Ohu gave this assurance at a strategic planning meeting of all committees involved in the conduct of the primary election coming up in Ondo state today. ONDO 2024: WALE OHU APPOINTED CHAIRMAN, APC NATIONAL OBSERVER COMMITTEE

As part of efforts by the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress at retaining Ondo state under its fold in the November, 16, 2024 Governorship election, a 35 member National Observer Committee has been set up to oversee all processes towards the realization of this objectives. The committee, chaired by Chief Wale Ohu, a chieftain of the party from Oyo state is expected among other things to monitor and observe strict compliance to the rules and guidelines of the direct party primary as stipulated by the constitution of the APC and the electoral act. The Kano state government has filed an eight-count charge against Abdullahi Ganduje, currently National chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and former governor of the state, over allegations of receiving $200,000 as bribe from a contractor. In a charge sheet filed before a Kano high court, the state government said the offence contravened Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Law of 2008. Listed as defendants in the case are Abdullahi Ganduje as first defendant, Hafsat Umar, Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lesaga General Enterprises as second to ninth defendants respectively.
