The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed additional charges against Abiodun Agbele, an ally of a former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, from 11 to 24 count charges. Agbele, was arraigned by the EFCC in 2016, alongside a former Minister of State for Defence, Musliu Obanikoro; Sylvan Mcnamara Limited; Lt. A.O Adewale; Tunde Oshinowo and Olalekan Ogunseye (all at large), at a Federal High Court in Abuja on an 11 count charge of money laundering to the tune of N1.219bn. The money is part of N4.7bn allegedly transferred from an account belonging to the Office of the National Security Adviser in the Central Bank of Nigeria. In the amended charges, read to him during the proceedings where he pleaded not guilty, Agbele, Sylvan Mcnamara Limited, De Privateer Limited, and Spotless Investment Limited were listed as the first to fourth defendants. The EFCC accused Agbele of indirectly accepting 1.219 billion naira cash through an official of Zenith Bank in Akure from Obanikoro

  From all indications, former Governor of Ekiti state, Dr. Peter Ayodele Fayose has finally dumped the People's Democratic Party for the Biodun Oyebanji led ruling All Progressives  Congress (APC) in Ekiti state. Earlier, Indications were rife that the once simmering relationship between Fayose and the PDP in the state was on the brink of collapse but there was no strong fact to back up this claim other than the romance between Fayose and members of the defunct G-5 Governors, of which Fayose was number six and the only former Governor allowed into the group then. Also, before, during and after the election, most especially the Presidential election, Fayose and his G-5 group openly worked against the interest of the PDP and it's Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar without batting an eyelid.     Former Ekiti state Governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose has opened the glee of second term endorsement for the incumbent Governor of Ekiti, Biodun Oyebanji. Fayose orchestrated the narrative with Dayo Maximal, a musician-turned-politician and one of Fayose's proteges who was once a member of the state House Assembly under Fayose's administration, and was nominated by Fayose as a board member into the APC led government in Ekiti state. The event was Otunba Bisi Kolawole's son's wedding, attended by the incumbent Governor.  In the video, Fayose took the microphone orchestrating a song proclaiming the eight-year reign of His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
