FUEL SUBSIDY: REVIEW YOUR POLICIES, WOMEN, CHILDREN ARE WORST HIT, AWLA TASK TINUBU

The African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) has urged the federal government to re-assess the removal of fuel subsidy and declare a state of emergency on insecurity as essential steps to address the severe economic challenges in the country. Emphasizing the urgency of these measures in alleviating the crippling economic hardship faced by Nigerians, particularly women, president of the association Mrs. Caroline Ibharuneafe, highlighted the daily struggles of Nigerians, especially women, in coping with the skyrocketing cost of living and stressed the need for government to undertake a comprehensive review of its economic policies, confront insecurity head-on and prevent the country from sliding into recession.
