ALAO-AKALA'S ESTATE: PROCURED LETTER OF ADMINISTRATION, IS PEJURY INVOLVED?

As the controversy trailing the demise of the former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala continues less than two years after his death, an infringement of the law might have been alledgedly committed in the quest to inherit the multi Billion naira estate of the deceased former governor.

The scenario above, is connected to the administration of the vast estate of the deceased Alao-Akala who died INTESTATE on the 12th of January, 2022 at the age of 72.

Findings revealed that a Letter of Administration was obtained by the duo of KEMI ALAO-AKALA and OLAMIDE ALAO-AKALA from the probate registry of the Oyo state high court, Ring road Ibadan, without the consent of either the eldest surviving child of the deceased former Governor, TOYIN or other children.

It will be recalled that OLAMIDE ALAO-AKALA in a PUNCH newspaper publication of 9th July, 2023, had expressly informed the public of her status as the first child and first daughter of the late Alao-Akala.

The newspaper publication which went viral on social media platforms was also culled by other news media quoting the words of OLAMIDE as a true representation of fact.

However, quoting copiously from the 529 page autobiography of Otunba Alao-Akala titled AMAZING GRACE,

Chapter 16, page 356 - 357, revealed that Alao-Akala explained the circumstances leading to the birth of his first child, TOYIN, in Jos.

According to him, "When I completed my cadetship and I was posted to Jos, I started a relationship with a girl I had met before at Ogbomoso high school.

The relationship was good and we were going on well, but when I brought up the idea of marriage, she refused bluntly on the grounds that she could not marry a police officer.

She took in all the same and gave birth to my firstborn TOYIN, a lovely baby girl.

What a triumph for me".

Further investigation into the family tree of Adebayo Alao-Akala unearthed the following in sequential order;

1. TOYIN a female was born on the 20th of March, 1978.

2. Next is a male, an American based Pilot, who was born in 1980 and is 43 years old.

3. OLAMIDE, female, was born on the 1st of July, 1983.

4. BUKKY, female and currently residing in the United States of America, was born on the 21st of May, 1984.

5. OLAMIPO, interestingly came few days after, on the 24th of May, 1984.

6. OLAMIJU, who is 38 years old was born on the 9th of September, 1985.

7. TABITHA whose mother died in a car crash when Alao-Akala was governor of Oyo state was born, March 13 2005.

8. OLAMIKUNLE, only son of KEMI was given birth to on the 4th of Feb, 2006.

TOYIN, through her Lawyer had written to the duo of KEMI ALAO-AKALA and OLAMIDE ALAO-AKALA, intimating them of the illegality involved in the Letter of Administration obtained by them to gain access to the multi Billion naira empire of her late father which is already being plundered without recourse to other children and issued an initial 21 days notice to them, demanding that the letter of administration be amended and her name included as one of the administrators.

She also demanded that proper account on all assets belonging to her father be rendered and also ensure that her input as the eldest child of her late father be accomodated.

Another seven days notice as required by law, which lapsed on the 29th of September, 2023, was again ignored by KEMI and OLAMIDE.

Some of the properties under contention include; Alao-Akala's London home at No. 19, San Juan Drive, Shafford 100, Grays RM, 166LQ, which was sold for the sum of 665,000 pounds, expensive Jewelries belonging to the deceased, real estate properties in America, France, Ghana, Ibadan, Ogbomoso, Lagos and Abuja among others.

What the next few weeks tend to hold remains a huge source of concern as there seem to be a long drawn legal conundrum in the offing.
