APERO OMO OKEHO ORGANIZES EDUCATION SUMMIT

In its efforts at ensuring that the OKEHO Satellite Campus of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan does not go into extinction, Apero Omo OKEHO organised an Education Summit to sensitize indigenes, parents, guardians and other stakeholders on the need to send their children to the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the Institution for further education.

Welcoming guests to the Education Summit held at OKEHO Town Hall in Kajola Local Government area of Oyo state, President of Apero Omo OKEHO Global, Pastor Favour Adewoyin called on the people of Oke Ogun to take advantage of the opportunity of having the Campus sited in Okeho to further boost the chances of the indigenes of the area at having access to good and formal education.

Pastor Adewoyin commended the College Governing Council, the Management and Staff of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology for their efforts at revamping the glory of the Health Institution in OKEHO.

He advised the people of Oke Ogun to see the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the College as their own, emphasizing that all hands must be on deck to ensure that the school gets higher patronage by students in the area seeking admission for tertiary education.

Chairman, Governing Council of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin, represented by a Governing Council member, Pastor Samson Olugbenga Makinde expressed his delight over the Education Summit stressing the need for parents and guardians in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State to send their children and wards to the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the College saying graduates of the College have great career prospects. 

Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin said Government has played it's own part by siting the Satellite Campus in OKEHO to cater for the Health Education needs of the INDIGENES of Oke Ogun area, calling on the people to complement and appreciate the kind gesture through an increase in students' enrollment .

Provost of the College, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo took time to enlighten the audience about the prospects of the courses being offered by the school and admonished them to support the development of the campus, expressing optimism that the campus has the chances of running additional courses and becoming a full fledged institution in the nearest future. 

Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his constant support for the College as she urged prospective students to take advantage of the ongoing admission exercise into the campus and apply for admission for the available courses. 

In their respective remarks, Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Alhaji Salimonu Borikansunwon Afolabi, His Royal Majesty, the Onjo of OKEHO, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, the Oniro of Otu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Adepoju, His Royal Highness, Oba Lawal Oyeleye Bajigan of Ilaji Oke, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Oyediran, Onidiko of Idiko Ago, religious and Community leaders commended Apero Omo OKEHO called on the ten Local Government areas and L.C.D.A's to sponsor at least five students for admission into the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology.

President of OYSCOHEST Students' Union Government, Comrade Tolase Fadare thanked the Management and Staff of the institution for their various efforts at moving the OKEHO Satellite Campus of the College forward stating that this is the first time an education Summit of this kind is taking place since the establishment of the OKEHO Satellite Campus in 2015.

BETTA EDU: EFCC RECOVERS 30 BILLION NAIRA

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has so far recovered 30 Billion naira for the Federal Government while it has also placed 50 bank accounts under investigation in the ongoing probe of the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, including the erstwhile chief executive officer of the now suspended National Social Investment Programme Authority (NSIPA), Halima Shehu. Both Edu and Shehu were suspended about three months ago by President Bola Tinubu over alleged financial malfeasance.  The President also suspended Social Investment Programme and, thereafter, asked the EFCC to take over the case and probe both embattled officials including anyone involved. NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL TO CLEAR BACKLOG OF ADMISSION

  The management of Nigerian Law school has been given the go-ahead to clear the back log of admission for qualified law graduates who are yet to be admitted for the mandatory one year training Programme for legal practitioners in Nigeria. This decisions formed part of the resolution of the Council for Legal Education at it's just concluded council meeting.
