BAR FINAL EXAM: FOUR AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SHINE AT LAW SCHOOL

Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo recorded a big feat in the final Bar examinations of the Nigeria Law School as four of it's students finished in the first class category.

Dean, Faculty of Law of the school, Prof. O.A Onadeko, in a memo addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, disclosed that the performance is unprecedented and phenomenal, stating that the faculty will build on the feat which has placed the Law programme of Ajayi Crowther University among the top faculties of Law in the country and will be sustained in years to come. 

Vice-chancellor of the University, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, while expressing his delight at the news, extended his warm congratulations to each and every of the students' for their outstanding performance in the Bar final examination. 

He said, the journey to becoming a legal practitioner is undoubtedly demanding and requires unwavering commitment with determination and commended the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of the students which culminated in this remarkable achievement.

The Vice Chancellor further premised the high value Ajayi Crowther University place on academic excellence, quality faculty, conducive learning environment, and the resolute dedication of the school's management to uphold ACU's position as a premier institution across all disciplines as a major factor that culminated in the success of Ajayi Crowther University's Law students at the Law school despite the fact that many competing institutions started their law programme several years before ACU.

He encouraged the successful law school graduates to continue to uphold the principles of justice, integrity, and service to society that are fundamental to the legal profession as they embark on the next phase of their journey either as legal practitioners,  pursuing further studies, or exploring other opportunities in life.

OYO ASSEMBLY TO CONFIRM JUSTICE TAJUDEEN ABDUL'GANIYU AS PRESIDENT, CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has forwarded a letter requesting for the confirmation of appointment of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu as the President Customary Court of Appeal, Oyo State to the State House of Assembly. The request follows the recommendation of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu to the National Judicial Council as President of the Court of Appeal by the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission. According to the letter, ” Consequent upon the request, the National Judicial Council has recommended Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu as the new President of Oyo State Customary Court of Appeal.” The position became vacant due to the retirement of former President of the Customary Court of Appeal in Oyo State, Hon. COURT FORFEIT TWO OIL BUNKERING VESSEL TO GOVERNMENT

Two Federal High Courts sitting in Abuja has ordered the forfeiture of MT Kali and MT Harbor Spirit, two bunkering vessels to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The two vessels were recently arrested by operatives of TSSNL in conjunction with the special task force set up by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla. Delivering an interim order of forfeiture in the case filed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, Justice J. K. Omotosho yesterday ordered that MT Harbor Spirit and its content be forfeited to the Federal Government pending when any party might show cause why the order should not be made final within six months.
