CELEBRATING TWO YEARS OF POSITIVE IMPACT BEYOND ENTERTAINMENT

Eagle FM, an award-winning, masses oriented radio station has taken broadcasting beyond the studio by impacting lives of it's listeners in the areas of health, education, food palliative, sports and general well-being, thereby enlivening their bodies and souls.

Located in Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun State, Eagle 102.5 FM, during it's electrifying two-weeks, second anniversary celebration, organized series of programmes where the management hosted a medical outreach program offering free eye check-up, glasses, and general medical examinations. 

It awarded and sponsored two free cataract surgeries, further emphasizing its dedication to making a positive impact beyond entertainment.

Apart from leaving it's listeners buzzing with excitement while the celebration lasted, Eagle FM recognized the economic hardships many people in its community were going through and so organized a feeding program for the teeming listeners who attended it's second year anniversary activities. 

347 widows were fed, just as 12 of their talented but indigent children in both primary and secondary schools were empowered with educational scholarship opportunities aimed at supporting them to secure their future.

While appreciating the importance of healthy living in sound body, Eagle FM engaged in a spirited novelty match against Super FM at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode. 

The 1 - 0 victory for Eagle FM not only added to the festive atmosphere, but also fostered camaraderie within the broadcast industry.

Highlights of the celebration included a charity drive which was aimed at supporting underprivileged communities in the station's broadcast area where listeners enthusiastically participated by donating funds and essential items, thus, demonstrating the impact Eagle FM has beyond the airwaves. 

The celebration also brought an electrifying outdoor broadcast experience to Sagamu, Akarigbo Market as the station ventured to engage directly with its audience in a vibrant celebration of two years of exceptional broadcasting. 

The outdoor broadcast was characterized by lively interactions, pulsating music, and an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm, thereby bringing the excitement of live radio to the streets, re-affirming the strong connection with its audience and underscoring its commitment to delivering quality broadcasting. 

Adding colour and glam to make the second year anniversary an unforgettable experience in the field of music and entertainment, the event featured a live music performance by renowned Fuji maestro, Alhaji Taye Currency, who treated the large crowd in attendance to scintillating, electrifying and soul-lifting lyrics.

As the anniversary celebrations came to a close with a thanksgiving at the St Paul Anglican church Ilese-Ijebu, Jumat service was also observed at Ilese-Ijebu Central Mosque. 

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle 102.5 FM, Otunba (Sir.) Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, appreciated the radio's teeming listeners and customers for their unflinching support and commitment towards advancing the laudable objectives of the 'Airwave Master'. 

He said,  "Eagle 102.5 FM will continue to revolutionize the broadcasting industry, pragmatically touching the lives of our listening audience beyond the airwaves by fostering tolerance, unity and harmony within the community.

Within a space of two years, Eagle FM has reinforced its position as a beacon of quality broadcasting and community engagement, setting the stage for even greater achievements in the years to come, he concluded.

OYO ASSEMBLY TO CONFIRM JUSTICE TAJUDEEN ABDUL'GANIYU AS PRESIDENT, CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has forwarded a letter requesting for the confirmation of appointment of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu as the President Customary Court of Appeal, Oyo State to the State House of Assembly. The request follows the recommendation of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu to the National Judicial Council as President of the Court of Appeal by the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission. According to the letter, ” Consequent upon the request, the National Judicial Council has recommended Hon. COURT FORFEIT TWO OIL BUNKERING VESSEL TO GOVERNMENT

Two Federal High Courts sitting in Abuja has ordered the forfeiture of MT Kali and MT Harbor Spirit, two bunkering vessels to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The two vessels were recently arrested by operatives of TSSNL in conjunction with the special task force set up by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla. Delivering an interim order of forfeiture in the case filed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, Justice J. K. Omotosho yesterday ordered that MT Harbor Spirit and its content be forfeited to the Federal Government pending when any party might show cause why the order should not be made final within six months.
