JAGZ HOTEL SET TO REDEFINE LUXURY HOSPITALITY IN AFRICA... ADEGBULUGBE

October 1st, 2024, marked a significant milestone in Nigeria's hospitality industry as JAGZ Hotel, Iyaganku, Ibadan was officially commissioned by Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

The grand commissioning of the luxurious and tastefully finished Five star JAGZ hotel, commenced the redefinition of luxurious hospitality service in Africa and was witnessed by dignitaries and business leaders, who graced the occasion.

Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, of JAGZ Ibadan, Dr. Kayode Adegbulugbe praised Governor Makinde's administration for its infrastructure drive, making Oyo State an attractive investment destination.

He noted that the last time the Southwest region witnessed such rapid infrastructure development was during the era of Obafemi Awolowo.


He said, JAGZ Hotel, constructed in just 21 months by El Sabio construction, showcases Nigeria's indigenous capacity for excellence.

He revealed that, the feat, achieved without formal contracts but rather through "spreadsheets and integrity," demonstrates the potential of local companies to compete globally.

Dr. Adegbulugbe emphasized that Africa is the undisputed home of hospitality, and JAGZ Hotel aims to re-establish this fact globally.

With plans to expand across Nigeria and Africa within the next 5-10 years, the hotel is poised to become a flagship of African luxury, he declared.


Adegbulugbe, who said, Governor Makinde's Omituntun 2.0 vision, focused on exploiting tourism and solid minerals, positions Ibadan as a preferred weekend getaway from Lagos asserted thatJAGZ Hotel's luxury and comfort will make Ibadan an attractive location for global tourists visiting historical sites in the region.

While urging corporate leaders to bring their business to Ibadan, rather than taking it to other global locations, Dr. Adegbulugbe expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his visionary leadership, restoring pride to the Yoruba race and placing Africa firmly on the global stage.

  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have barricaded the house of the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello in Wuse, Abuja.
