CAC OKE-IYE IBUKUN ALAKIA ISEBO MARKS 2023 ABIYE DAY

 

In appreciation of God's faithfulness to Abiye Faith home, the Maternity Arm of CAC Oke -  lye Ibukun, Ajameta Bus-stop, Alakia, Isebo, Ibadan, a week long activity was organized by the church authorities under the District Superintendent, Pastor Emmanuel Layi  Afelumo with his amiable wife, Lady Evangelist Dorcas Funmilayo Afelumo.

Earlier, a praise night had come up on Friday, 13th October, 2023, featuring eminent gospel artistes ministering.

Thanksgiving Service took place on Sunday, 15th October, 2023 at the Church auditorium, attended by mother's of Abiye children from all over the world .

Delivering a sermon at the Thanksgiving Service, the guest preacher, Prophet Michael Fakinle congratulated the matron of the church's maternity centre, Abiye Faith home, Lady Evangelist Dorcas Funmilayo Afelumo  under the leadership of her husband, Pastor Layi Afelumo for witnessing this year's 2023 Abiye Day.

Prophet Fakinle commended the Matron Lady Evangelist Dorcas Funmilayo Afelumo for her commitment, doggedness and  faithfulness in nurturing the faith home.

The religious leader thanked Pastor Layi Afelumo for supporting her wife noting with delight that the church maternity centre had come to limelight through the cooperation of the enviable couple.

In his brief remarks, the district Superintendent, described the matron Lady Evangelist Dorcas Funmilayo as a virtuous woman who deserves his support and called on men to always support their wives because doing so is helping themselves indirectly.

Pastor Layi Afelumo thanked the Church elders, the choir, the church warden, the church workers, the Faith home workers, his children both biological and spiritual, the Abiye mother's from far and near and other invited guests for their support.

Also speaking, the matron of the church maternity centre, Lady Evangelist Dorcas Funmilayo Afelumo thanked her husband Pastor Emmanuel Layi Afelumo for his steady support and described him as a responsible husband full of passion and care.

The Matron noted that the steadfastness of her husband had sustained the faith home since the very beginning and also thanked the church for standing by her vision.

OYO ASSEMBLY TO CONFIRM JUSTICE TAJUDEEN ABDUL'GANIYU AS PRESIDENT, CUSTOMARY COURT OF APPEAL

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has forwarded a letter requesting for the confirmation of appointment of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu as the President Customary Court of Appeal, Oyo State to the State House of Assembly. The request follows the recommendation of Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu to the National Judicial Council as President of the Court of Appeal by the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission. According to the letter, ” Consequent upon the request, the National Judicial Council has recommended Hon. Justice Tajudeen Muhammad Abdul Ganiyu as the new President of Oyo State Customary Court of Appeal.” The position became vacant due to the retirement of former President of the Customary Court of Appeal in Oyo State, Hon. COURT FORFEIT TWO OIL BUNKERING VESSEL TO GOVERNMENT

Two Federal High Courts sitting in Abuja has ordered the forfeiture of MT Kali and MT Harbor Spirit, two bunkering vessels to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The two vessels were recently arrested by operatives of TSSNL in conjunction with the special task force set up by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla. Delivering an interim order of forfeiture in the case filed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, Justice J. K. Omotosho yesterday ordered that MT Harbor Spirit and its content be forfeited to the Federal Government pending when any party might show cause why the order should not be made final within six months.
