NIEEE INDUCTS 37 NEW MEMBERS


The Nigeria Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), Ibadan Chapter has inducted 37 new members from the Polythecnic, Ibadan for the 2023 Student members induction and technical lecture series.

The event took place at the Assembly Hall, North Campus of the Polythecnic, Ibadan with the Theme "Electrical Engineering, Past, Present and Prospects".

In his Welcome address, Chairman of the Institute, Engr. Babatunde Ogunpaimo said NIEEE Ibadan Chapter in collaboration with like minded Nigerians has taken a bold step to promote engineering professionalism and mentorship for the new inductees to access better engineering services.

He said, "The NIEEE has decades of record as the foremost and leading professional body among engineering profession in Nigeria since it was established in 1984, as it currently houses over 15,000 strong database of engineers and other professional engineering cadre in all specialities of Electrical/Electronics Engineering and has 35 Chapters spread across all the geo-political zones of the country."

Engr. Ogunpaimo called on lecturers of Higher institutions of learning and private practitioners to avail themselves the opportunity to become chartered Electrical Engineers in their chosen profession. 

Responding, one of the inductees, Engineer Aishat Adegbenla appreciated the Executive members of the institute for bringing the chartered Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) to the Higher institutions of learning across the country,which according to her is recognized at the National level with proven records and recognitions.

Present at the event were the Director of MIC Governor's Office Secretariat, Mrs Bisola Adabanija and the Chief Executive Officer MAO Electrical and Technical Limited, who was represented by Olori Alimi among others.
