OYO STATE WILL CONTINUE TO PRIORITIZE HEALTH SECTOR

The Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo has disclosed that the present administration will continue to give the State Health Care Sector a pride of place for the betterment of the people of the State.

She stated this today in her office while hosting the Management Staff of the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.

According to her, Governor Seyi Makinde has good intentions for the people of Oyo State, adding that part of the LAUTECH turn around is sole ownership of the Institution by Oyo State and the commissioning of LAUTECH satellite campus at Iseyin.

She charged the Management Staff of the Teaching Hospital to prioritize all their needs for the attention of Government to  attend them for the benefit of the people, saying that "health care delivery is a public service".

The Secretary to the State Government urged the Management to improve on their internally generated revenue drive as part of the efforts to improve the standard of the teaching hospital.

She added further that Governor Makinde is committed to ensuring that adequate health care service delivery is accessible to all and sundry and so passionate to deliver dividends of democracy to the general public".

In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Professor Olawale Olakulehin commended Governor Makinde for reinstating staff of the Teaching Hospital that were wrongfully dismissed by the past administration in the State.
