SEYI MAKINDE: A REVOLUTIONARY MAVERICK OF OUR TIME - MOE

By: MOYOSOREOLUWA OLAMILEKAN ELDREEZ (IJOBA AUTHORITY MOE DYNASTY)

He is an agent of Good Governance, Good Politics and Policies that brings democratic dividends to the grassroot.

An amazing dream come true agent, always with maximum impact.

Seyi Makinde is the Touch Bearer, touch stone, lead board, anyone can link with.

His love for lawn tennis and golf is unrivalled, hence at 56, he is still basking stronger, bouncing gallantly, energized mentally stable.

The news about Agodi gardens, that it is being sold out was a petty distraction, but Seyi Makinde is undaunted in his determination to forge ahead in his plans and policies for a greater Oyo state.

The upgrade to international standard Agodi garden will experience as well the conversion of the Forest into an habitable environment unlike what was obtainable before now is the light at the end of the tunnel for Seyi Makinde.

No wonder, the various developmental initiatives cropping up in Oyo State is unprecedented.

Oyo state now accommodates fun seekers, associates, investors, hence the economic prosperity being witnessed across the geo-political zones in Oyo State.

Seyi Makinde is not a perfect being.

But he is a visionary Leader with broad eagle eye.

He is an accelerator and moderator for peaceful co-existence of all and sundry.

Makinde is a game changer, a Pan-African Leader per Excellence, Motivated by Action.

He makes things work as if it's like a magic.

He is never tired of making life better and conducive for his people.

 A Servant Leader...

A non Partisan Leader...

An Exceptional, Inspirational and Revolutionary master, ready to work and walk with anyone adding value to the system.

He is a believer of equal opportunity, fair and level playing ground.

Making Oyo state great at all times is his priority, hence “The Oyo State Development Plan (Agenda 2040) and The Medium - Term Development Plan (2021 – 2025)”.

These development plans will in the medium and long-term and provide reliable pointers to sustainable development in Oyo State.

The approval of the 2024 budget of over 438bn based on Sustainable Development Growth Vision, will address his four pillars model, where education has the highest, followed by Infrastructure and others.

Its higher than the initial N434bn presented to the House of Assembly by Governor Seyi Makinde.

However, we must realize that the upward review of the 2024 Appropriation Bill with over N4.2bn is to reflect the current economic realities and situations in the country, and to cater for all critical sectors.

It is on this note I can boldly beat my chest that the Oyo state, under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE will hit the ground running in the coming fiscal year.

Gov. Makinde and his administration will embark on full implementation of the budget to ensure optimum performance so as to continue the recovery process of the economy of the state.

The MDA's will be at the optimum best towards the full and successful implementation of the 2024 budget.

In his last news letter for the year dated, 28th Dec, 2023, he described how he wanted his administration to end;

"Gov. Makinde explained that he has been careful about the decisions he make, with a view to bowing out of office with a loud ovation in year 2027.

According to him, the year petering out has taught him to be firm in decision making as no one can be ultimately perfect, judging from the books he read during the course of the year he said."

On a final note, I pray for more Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding for you as you journey in the mandate God and Oyo Masses has placed in your arms with the sole aim to deliver excellent GOVERNANCE as envisioned in the Omituntun 2.0 Sustainable Development, Growth and Vision tagged from Poverty to Prosperity.

Cheers my Governor.
