The Oyo state chapter of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) today made history in the annals of Nigeria's fledging democracy as it elected the first female Ayobamidele Idowu Adekunle as it's state chairman during the state congress of the party held today.
The new state chairman and other members of executive, will steer the affairs of the party in Oyo State in the next four years.
The newly elected chairman who is a graduate of Nigeria's premier University, University of Ibadan alongside other members of the state executives emerged in an affirmative vote unanimously agreed to by delegates at the congress.
