REP. ADEDEJI DHIKRULLAHI OLAJIDE APPRECIATES SHETTIMA, MAKINDE, ABASS, LADOJA, NASS MEMBERS, OTHERS FOR STANDING BY HIM DURING FATHER'S 8-DAY FIDAU

Member representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikirullahi Olajide (Odidiomo), has expressed  his most sincere appreciation to guests and well-wishers who attended the 8th day Fidau prayer and reception party in honour of the late patriarch of the family, Alh. Abdul-lateef Akin Tokunbo Olajide, on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at both the Liberty stadium and Jogor Event Centre, Ibadan.

In a statement personally signed by the federal lawmaker, he said the outpouring of love and affection as shown by the huge number of high profile guests, political associates, friends and well-wishers at the event was overwhelming.

"We are deeply honored to receive the moral support of the Presidency through the Vice-President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima who extended the best wishes of Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to us as a family.

“The Vice President Shettima’s condolence message and fitting tribute to the memory of our father was reassuring that Alhaji indeed lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation.

“My utmost gratitude goes to the esteemed officials from the Oyo State Government, led by our Leader, the Governor, His Excellency, (Engr.) Seyi Makinde; the Deputy Governor, His Excellency (Barr.) Bayo Lawal; Commissioners, Special Advisers, chairmen of Boards and parastatals and other high-ranking officials of government, who took time out of their busy schedules to pay their respects to our beloved father and illustrious son of Oyo state". 

Hon. Dhikrullahi Olajide (Odidiomo) went further to also acknowledge that their presence, financial and moral supports were a testament to the impact of his father’s life and legacy, and we are grateful for your kind words and tributes.

Speaking further, Olajide Odidiomo said, “We also had the privilege to have in attendance, members of the Senate and House of Representatives, led by the Honourable Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Tajudeen Abass, who was represented by the House Minority leader, Hon. Kingsley Chinda.

To us as a family, “your presence meant the world to us, and we are grateful for your support during this difficult time.

“In addition, we would like to express our gratitude to the numerous well-wishers who attended the event from across Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

“Your outpouring of love and support has been a source of comfort and strength to us during this difficult time. 

“We are grateful for the kind words, prayers, and condolences shared with us, and we are deeply thankful for the many ways in which you have shown your love and respect for our father.

“The 8th day Fidau prayer and party was a fitting celebration of our father's life and legacy, and we are grateful to everyone who played a role in making it a success, most especially the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, His Eminence, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyu Agbotomokekere, for leading the Fidau prayer.

“Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the event including the former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Iba Oluyole, Alh. Nureni Akanbi, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN; Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, Otunba Seye Famojuro and Alh. Wasiu Adebisi, among others.

“Your presence meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your support and love,” Olajide added.

BETTA EDU: EFCC RECOVERS 30 BILLION NAIRA

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has so far recovered 30 Billion naira for the Federal Government while it has also placed 50 bank accounts under investigation in the ongoing probe of the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, including the erstwhile chief executive officer of the now suspended National Social Investment Programme Authority (NSIPA), Halima Shehu. Both Edu and Shehu were suspended about three months ago by President Bola Tinubu over alleged financial malfeasance.  The President also suspended Social Investment Programme and, thereafter, asked the EFCC to take over the case and probe both embattled officials including anyone involved. NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL TO CLEAR BACKLOG OF ADMISSION

  The management of Nigerian Law school has been given the go-ahead to clear the back log of admission for qualified law graduates who are yet to be admitted for the mandatory one year training Programme for legal practitioners in Nigeria. This decisions formed part of the resolution of the Council for Legal Education at it's just concluded council meeting.
