JUSTICE L.A GANIYU FROM OYO STATE, 8 OTHERS FOR ELEVATION AS COURT OF APPEAL JUSTICES BY CJN

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will on wednesday, 20th of September, 2023, administer the oath of office to the newly appointed nine Justices of the Court of Appeal on Wednesday at the main court auditorium of the Supreme Court. According to a statement by the Director of Press and Information of the court,  Dr.  Akande Festus, the Justices are; Hannatu Laja-Balogun from Kaduna State, who was appointed a High Court Judge on  May 24, 1999;  Binta  Zubairu from Kaduna State appointed a High Court Judge on October 31, 2001; Peter Chudi Obiora from Anambra State, who was sworn-in as High Court Judge on January 17, 2005; Justice Okon Efreti Abang from Akwa Ibom State, appointed a High Court Judge on June, 22nd 2009;  Asma’u  Mainoma from Federal Capital Territory appointed High Court Judge on February 1_ 2013;  Lateef A Ganiyu from Oyo State, who became High Court Judge on June 26, 2014;                                    Justice L.A Ganiyu Jane  Iyang from Cross

EXPLORE FOREIGN GRANTS TO FUND LIBRARIES, Oyo HoS CHARGE LIBRARIANS

To promote reading culture among school children in the country, librarians have been charged to source for grants to fund libraries across the country. Oyo state head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni gave this charge while hosting members of the Nigeria Library Association, Oyo state branch at the Head of Service conference room, secretariat, Ibadan. The Head of Service explained that government at all levels cannot do it alone hence the need to for librarians to explore foreign grant opportunities to support governments effort. She encouraged civil servants across the country to always make use of the Head of Service Library in their respective states by searching for information and reading archived circulars to further enhance their productivity.  Mrs Oni commended the immediate past Head of Service in Oyo state, Mrs Ololade Agboola for establishing the library at the Head of Service building.
