Chairman, National Observers committee of the Ondo state primary election taking place across the 18 local government areas of the state, Chief Wale Ohu has stated restated the determination of the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at providing a level playing ground for all aspirants vying for the ticket of the party to emerge as gubernatorial candidate of the party in ondo state. Elder statesman and former Governor of old Oyo State, Dr Omololu Olunloyo, has broken his silence about the rumour of his death, saying he is alive. Close sources within the Olunloyo in his Molete residence in Ibadan, the state capital on Friday said he is hale and hearty. Earlier, the rumour of the death of the elder statesman was reported by some news platforms. However, Olunloyo, while speaking said, “I’m still here, not yet gone.” He also expressed worry over the rumour and asked who would live forever, stressing,  “Those breaking death news and the person presumed dead will all die one day. “I’ve been lucky.  My father died at 42, while my mother died at 102.  I’m 89. I’ve crossed the expected life age.” The elder statesman also illustrated how the rumour of his death hit several news platforms on June 7, 2022. Osun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has denied the claim by Dr. Olatunde Oginni that he was installed as the Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa by the state government on January 20, 2012. In a letter dated April 18, 2024 and addressed to First Bethel Solicitors, the ministry clarified that the assertion by Dr. Oginni is far from the truth and that there is no title in existence bearing Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa in their records. The ministry further stated that they have a letter dated January 18, 2012, from His Royal Majesty, the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesa Land, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, dissociating the entire Ijesaland from the strange traditional title claimed by Dr. Oginni. The ministry emphasized that they only recognize the Likure of Odogbo-Ijesa, Oba Adedapo Samson Adewuyi, who was issued an Instrument of Appointment on November 10, 2022, by the former Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola. As part of efforts by the National leadership of the All Progressives Congress at retaining Ondo state under its fold in the November, 16, 2024 Governorship election, a 35 member National Observer Committee has been set up to oversee all processes towards the realization of this objectives. The committee, chaired by Chief Wale Ohu, a chieftain of the party from Oyo state is expected among other things to monitor and observe strict compliance to the rules and guidelines of the direct party primary as stipulated by the constitution of the APC and the electoral act. Ensure transparency, accountability and smooth conduct of the election across the 18 local government areas of Ondo state and also ensure the primary election committee and appeal committees operate within the terms of reference (T.O.R) of their mandate. Zynga News reports that the EFCC siege is coming days after the former governor held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, at the State House. It was reliably gathered that there is currently no movement in and around the house located at Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4 in the nation's federal capital.  On Wednesday, a top source shared the photograph showing how operatives of the EFCC barricaded the access road to the Bello's house.
