I.G.E OYO ZONE ORGANIZES FREE TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR NAPPS

  The Permanent Secretary/Inspector General of Education, Oyo Zone, Dr. Tunde Aremu has Charged National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) to pay their statutory revenue to the State Government cover as at when due. He stated this during a free seminar organized for the Head of private schools in Oyo zone with Theme "How to Grow Private Schools Business" held at Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo. Dr. Aremu said the free seminar was organized for the Proprietors of Private Schools to grow their businesses. He added that when their businesses are grown it will be easier for them to pay their statutory revenue into government purse. He said "when their economic status improves, the resources that are available would be used for their general well being and contributed meaningfully to the State Internal Generated Revenue". NBTE ACCREDITATION TEAM VISIT OYSCOHEST

ACCESS SIX  ACADEMIC  PROGAMMES Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan (OYSCOHEST) has recorded  another academic feat, with the visit of the National Board for Technical Education's Accreditation Team for the Resource Inspection exercise of six of its  academic programmes. The six programmes are HND Dental Nursing, Dental Therapy, Health Information Management, Nutrition and Dietetics, Environmental Health Technology  and National Diploma in Paramedics Technology. Briefing the Management and Staff of the College at the end of the exercise, the NBTE Team Lead, Prince (Dr.) Murtala Aliyu Sakwa commended the Management of the College for the infrastructural development between October, 2022 during their last visit and  November this year,  advising the Management to forge ahead in sustaining the tempo.   The Secretary to Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo FAS FTWAS has said, the present administration would provide an enabling environment for Institutions of higher learning to thrive in the State. She made this known during a courtesy visit paid by the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ibadan at the SSG's Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.   The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni has charged members of the Ward Development Committee to continue their good work for grassroot development across the State. She stated this while hosting the Executive Council of the WDC on a courtesy visit at her office Secretariat, Ibadan. She enjoined them to maintain their good working relationship with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency  (OYSHIA) and the State Primary Health Care Board for smooth monitoring of the State Health care centres. The Head of Service admonished WDC to keep informing the pregnant women at the grassroot level to always visit the State Hospitals at least once in a month for check up. She said the State Government would empower WDC members in order to work more for the development of the community. ALERZO SHUTS DOWN LEKKI, CALABAR WAREHOUSES

  These are not the best of time for Ibadan based B2B, E-commerce commodity marketing company ALERZO, as it has shut down operations in virtually all of its warehouses across Nigeria. The multi million dollar  company, owned by 29 years old Adewale Opaleye took the Ibadan market of the Fast Moving Commodity business by storm about 3 years ago when it opened it's multi million naira FMC warehouse and employed over 3000 young Nigerians across the country. Unfortunately, ALERZO which was then rated as one of the best paying companies in Nigeria is now unable to meet up with the standard it set for itself at inception including the financial obligation to it's members of staff. OYO FIRE SERVICE BOSS CONDEMNS ATTACK ON OFFICERS

The General Manager Oyo State Fire Service Agency, Mr Yemi Akinyinka, has condemned the attack on some fire service officers by a mob, during a rescue operation in Ibadan, the state capital. Mr Akinyinka condemned the act while confirming the incident in a telephone interview. According to Mr Akinyinka, the officials were on Tuesday called to put out a fire at a private residence at Akingbola, Bodija and were attacked when they were attempting to replenish the depleted water supply. Mr Akinyinka appealed to residents to stop attacking fire service officers during the rescue missions.

Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo has said that welfare of different categories of unions and associations is paramount to the present administration in the State. She stated this while hosting the executive members Association of Medical and Dental Officers of Oyo State in her office. She charged members of the Association to be more proactive in discharging their duties to the public at the State hospitals, hinting that the present administration in the State is people centric.  The Secretary to the State Government admonished the medical officers to devise a new system in the public hospitals in order to be more patient friendly for efficient service delivery.
